It’s like at one point in my life I learned to be straightforward, but now that feels completely foreign. And it’s times like these I wish I never slid back in to ambiguity.

Feelings about the future: hopeful.

Days blend together when you work through all of them. Had a hard time remembering it was Wednesday yesterday, which it was.. I think.

New friends, reunited with old ones, weekends free of work, and winding down with Zero 7.

Sleepless, but there is no better time of day than 4am.

Day full of clarity shifts into a night of worry and confusion. Always seems to flow something like this.

Roller coaster as of late, but still coming out on top.

But it’s only by having some distance from the world that you can see it whole, and understand what you should be doing with it.

And so it begins! The start of what could be a beautiful year.

Haven’t really taken the time to think about direction and aspirations too much lately; I’ve been swept away in a world of activity. This weekend will hopefully provide that time.

You don’t want to do the same shit over and over. If you can dream something, then you can film it.

It’s been an insane finals week and life in general this past little while, but I’m home, and back on here too. Feels good. I’ve been missing out.

Hoping to take some time to rethink my theme, read 1Q84, and spend a lot of time doing things I enjoy. Happy.

Went black friday people watching with some friends and there were literally 1,103 people waiting in front of Best Buy I kid you not.

Scheduling spontaneity. It sounds counterintuitive.

But, the deeper you get into life, the more you’ve got going on, the more you need to schedule time to not have anything scheduled.

Ritual is important. So is routine. They help create certainty anchors in your day, moments where you know what’s coming next and you can get into a rhythm that allows creativity and productivity to flow.

But, without fail, the biggest ideas, the most endearing connections, the world-changing insights come not when you’re engaged in the process of trying to make them happen, but when you step away and give your mind a bit of space. When you let your brain breathe.

That’s when data coalesces into genius. Conversations blossom into love. And the playful side of life swirls through you.

The busier you get, the more important it is for you to exalt and even schedule time to be unscheduled. To pause.

As John Lennon once shared -

“Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.”

Schedule spontaneity and plan to live.
